While most of us will never own the material discussed here, this (and the other Sotheby auction catalogs of the collection ) are fantastic reference books, and something that will be appreciated by any collector, dealer, institution, or enthusiast who loves fine time pieces, mechanical wonders, and world class craftsmenship. It is worth noting that although this collection was sold partially at auction over at least 6 major auctions at Sotheby's that we're aware of, the remainder of the collection was preserved in Chicago at the world-renowned Museum of Science and Industry and Adler Planetarium.
