American telephone and Telegraph (ATT)
Principles Of Electricity Applied to Telephone & Telegraph Work
American telephone and Telegraph Company 1929. Hard Cover. Originally issued as a set of training course notes "Training Course No 2" in 1922, the material in this book was produced "in response to a long-standing demand by Long Lines employees for text material that would demonstrate the fundamental principles of electricity and magnetism by means of applications to those telephone and telegraph circuits and apparatus with which their work brought them into frequent contact.". The first published hardcover volume of these notes was in 1928. The present volume, issued in 1929, "is substantially identical with that of the preceding edition, the only important revision being the substitution of the abbreviation db for 'decibel', in place of TU wherever he latter had been used as a symbol for the standard unit of telephone transmission." 240 pages. The first and second editions (1928/29) are substantially scarcer than later editions. Clean internally, binding sound. Minor wear to extremities of cloth, black lettering on spine and front board hard to read as normal. Good. [Book #13047] |
