It is very helpful for dating microscopes by collectors, dealers, and historians. This edition contains an additional 32 pages of microscopes added to the collection since the first edition which was published in 1967. Many, many photographs, descriptions of each instrument (including dimensions) make this an essential reference for the collector, dealer, or historian.
