An Electronic Analogue for Certain Difference-Differential Equations
Stanford, California: Departments of Engineering and Mathematics Stanford University 1949. Wraps. First Edition. [4] (one-sided, verson blank), 29 pages (one-sided, verso blank) plus 9 pages of figures in rear. Navy Contract N6-ONR-251 Task Orer II (NR-041-943). Original grey publisher's printed wraps with red cloth spine strip. "This report describes an electronic analogue of difference-differential equations with a variable parameter. The investigation is limited to the comparison of the observed self-excited frequencies with the calculated values given by the harmonic roots of transcendental characteristic equation. The agreement between the observed and the calculated values is within 5 per cent. This discrepancy is partially due to the experimental errors and partially to the fact that the non-linear frequency correction has not been taken into account in the calculation of the harmonic roots." (abstract). Only one copy in OCLC/Worldcat as of this writing. Very Good. [Book #18424] |
