Haeckel, famous for his zoological work, here has examined and reported on additional specimens of the Sinophoren (a species not unlike a man-o-war) and attempted to organize them according to phylogenetic means.
Cobb is considered the "Father of Nematology" and the "Father of Scientific Agricultural Research in Australia" (US Agricultural Service biography) Perhaps Cobb, who built the foundations of nematode taxonomy, was interested in what Haeckel had done here.
