Kobenhavn: J. Jorgensen & Co 1948. Pamphlet. 14 page pamphlet, written in what I believe is Danish. Includes small map of Ivigtuts, Omegn, Greenland. Several penned notes on the map, including "glacier", "icecap", "Cryolite mine", etc. General wear and light creasing. Bogvad, who was Danish, was the chief geologist of the Cryolite Mining Company, and is the person for whom Bogvadite, a new mineral, was named. Bogvadite was discovered in Ivigtuts Greenland. Scarce. Only 2 copies listed in OCLC, one at Harvard and the other in Alaska. Good. [Book #8781] |
