A well read copy with lower corners bumped, and corners and edges of the dj frayed and with small tears. Bright and clean internally. Textblock sound but sagging. A book which attempted to predict where the computer age was headed 20 years out by interviewing many visionaries. Dertouzos, who died in 2001, was a leader in the use of technology, serving as head of MIT's Laboratory of Computer Science for many years. Joel Moses is still at MIT, and was responsible for the creation of MACSYMA, a symbolic mathematics program capable of solving complex mathematical problems. It is interesting to compare their views with reality, having now lived that future.
