Extracted (and published separately) from "La Revue scientifique et industrielle de l'année", Année 1896. Chapter One is historical, Chapter Two deals with "Les Rayons X" [X-Rays], Chapter Three "La Radiographie", Chapter Four a variety of topics that appear to deal with various energy sources that can be used to produce xrays. Three additional chapters are "Les ampouyles radiographiques", "les appareisl a faire le vide" and "les applications des rayons X".
Laid in is a letter from Henry Schuman Ltd Rare Books from 1964 to a Boston customer suggesting it might be of interest to them, at a price of forty eight dollars. Schuman notes: "One of the earliest extensive reviews of the subject, historical as well as technical, with bibliographical notes in the text."
