Stuart Cuthbertson was a PH.D, Assoc. Professor of Romance Languages, University of Colorado. Lulu L. Cuthbertson, M.A., was an instructor at the Extension Div., Colorado State Teachers College. They issued a series of these wheels in different languages for use by students and teachers. We've seen Latin (as here), German, French, Spanish and Italian in this series. Other makers and authors produced other wheels (such as a Russian wheel done in 1962).
There are apparently different colorations to these moveables (volvelles) but we are aware of no bibliographical information indicating precedence.
