Philadelphia (146 Chesnut Street): American Sunday School Union. 31 pages. 3 x 4 ¼ inches. Leather spine over marbled boards gilt (marbling worn). Engraved frontis, ownership mark front pastedown. Very good.

2) [ no author ], The Westminster Assembly's Shorter Catechism. Boston: Mass. Sabbath School Society. 1835. 30 pages. 2 5/8 x 5 ¼ inches. Printed yellow wraps. Some “chew” to the margins at the foredge not affecting text. Rear wrapper with publisher advertisements. Wrappers soiled. 107 questions posed and answered. Good.

Philadelphia (no 146 Chestnut Street): American Sunday-School Union. 16 pages. 2 ¾ x 4 1/8 inches. Printed brown wrappers, stitched. Rear wrapper is a printed Hymn. Rear wrapper corner turned in (printing/trimming error). No 443 in Series IV. One engraving. Very good.

Engraved frontispiece, small engravings first letter each chapter. Cloth faded front, soiled/worn rear. Spine not readable. Very good.

Engraved frontispiece, small engravings first letter each chapter. Cloth faded front and rear, dampstaining to first few pages, one blank corner torn off front flyleaf. Spine not readable. Good.

Front wrapper nearly detached. Some chipping/wear at the corners. Nice engraving front cover. Mostly poetry apparently, with 1867 calendar in front. Text in French. Fair.

7) [ no author ], Number One. My Mother's Gold Ring. Founded on Fact. Fourteenth Edition. Boston: Ford and Damrell, 1833. iv, [5]-24 pages. 3 ½ x 5 3/8 inches. Make-do repair to spine panel with various eras of stitching. Soiled, worn, a grubby copy albeit complete.

8) another copy of #7 above, with staining to front covers, rear wrapper lacking. This example the Fifteenth edition, also 1833.

[half-title for “Edward and Ella: or A Day in the Woodlands” dated 1844], [3]-36, [half-title for Ellen of the Mountains], [37]-50 pages. 4 x 6 ½ inches. Title from front wrapper, engraved border by F.E Worcester. Tan printed wrappers, rear panel blank. Stitched, make-do repairs several times. First page of first story torn in half (no loss of text). Heavily foxed throughout, a heavily read/used copy.
