Quincy, Illinois: Monroe Chemical Company [not dated]. First Edition. Two slightly different copies offered. Folder consisting of hinged cardstock with samples inlaid and flexible cloth spines. 9 7/8 x 6 3/8 inches. Overall external wear (scuffing, writing, edgewear) but inside samples in fine condition. We kept these together as they are clearly from the same manufacturer even though only one is marked as Monroe Chemical Company. Very Good. [28229]


One example has 44 swatches, the other 38 swatches. Apparently constructed with samples laid down, and then a die-cut label pasted on each side leaving small windows of color samples on an unknown substance. One could use the tints by dipping in warm water. To dye requires the use of boiling water.
