[Auburn, NY?]: [no publisher stated] [no date]. We are pleased to offer an unusual item - an original glass plate negative mugshot of a woman, identified as Clara Louvar, (sp?) on the accompanying paper envelope. The plate has some issues with some emulsion loss. The envelope was stuck to the glass plate emulsion, and although someone carefully removed it, there are bits of paper stuck to the entire negative back.
NOTE: The images accompanying this listing were taken with the glass plate positioned above an LED light. Accordingly, several photographic artifacts (a regular dot grid pattern and a separate line of black dots) are not found on the original glass plate. We also took one image and used "invert colors" in Picasa to create one possible positive print for illustrative purposes.
We are not photograph experts. We cannot guarantee the paper embedded in the emulsion are removable. The emulsion losses are minimal and do not affect the image greatly as it is.
A rare female mugshot in the original glass plate negative. We aren't sure who the woman is, nor can we find anything about her with that spelling. A small paper from the previous owner notes, "mugshots, auburn, NY prison??."
