Answers com notes the following about Robert: "Robert, Ludwig (Berlin, 1778-1832, Baden-Baden), a member of a well-to-do Jewish family and a brother of Rahel Varnhagen von Ense, wrote plays, including the tragedy Die Macht der Verhältnisse (1819) which deals with the position of Jews in society." which we assume to be the author.
