The National Committee closes the report with several recommendations including that a National Bank is "indispensable to the collection, safe keeping, and disbursement of the public revenue" through all the states of the Union, that it is "highly desirable that Congress should provide for making the silver coins of Mexico, and some of the South American States, a legal tender, ..."
