Oliver Wendell Holmes School: [self-published]. 8 x 4 1/2 inches. String tied. A hand-written story by Frances Wheatley written on 4 leaves (recto only) and with an illustrated frontispiece of a boat on (presumably) Lake Champlain. This young writer has TWO different monographs (one above the school name, an "FW" in a circle, the second on the front cover, "F P W" in concentric geometric diamonds). Very Good.
A charming story in an equally charming format. We suspect that with a little work, Ms. Wheatley could be identified.
