A Child of the Orient
Boston and New York: Houghton Mifflin Company April 1914. First Edition. viii, [1]-297, [3], [8 (ads)] pages. 8vo. Publisher's green cloth binding with orange titles. Turkish ornaments stamped in blind. Top edges stained green. A sound copy with a few stains to the binding and light wear to the extremities. Bookseller ticket of the Old Corner Store Inc, Boston Mass on front flyleaf. Very Good. Cloth. [29457]
Printed at the Riverside Press. Although not listed in Haas, the designer may be Bruce Rogers based on the strong similarities to another Vaka title: HAREMLIK: SOME PAGES FROM THE LIFE OF TURKISH WOMEN.
We have also seen this title in a plain green cloth from the publisher without the Turkish ornaments stamped in blind. We are not aware of any precedence.
Price: $30.00
